Ms. Wong Chia Pei, known as Bell Wong, is an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya whose practice focuses on litigation and dispute resolution, particularly construction and engineering disputes, contractual and commercial disputes, and debt recovery. She also provides advisory services and ongoing legal support to businesses.

Ms. Bell’s interest in construction law began during her university years through her participation in mooting competitions. By God’s leading, she secured a pupillage placement with the Construction, Engineering, Oil & Gas Dispute Resolution team at Messrs. Lee Hishammuddin Allen & Gledhill, where she began developing her practical experience in construction disputes.

She subsequently practised at Messrs. Jason Ng & Partners, where she further developed her experience in construction disputes, adjudication and arbitration, while broadening her practice in general litigation, including civil, contractual and commercial disputes.

Ms. Bell provides litigation and advisory services to clients in the construction, property development, machinery and petrol station sectors, serving both Malaysian clients and clients from China. She works closely with clients to understand their business operations, contractual arrangements and commercial priorities, enabling her to provide advice that addresses both their immediate concerns and longer-term interests. On a retainer basis, she also provides strategic legal advice on a retainer basis to help business owners manage risks, protect their interests and make informed business decisions.

Ms. Bell adopts a practical, thorough and client-focused approach. She places emphasis on clear advice, careful preparation and helping clients assess the available options against their legal and commercial objectives. She communicates with clients in English, Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin, Hokkien and Cantonese, enabling her to assist clients from diverse backgrounds and explain legal issues in an accessible manner. Guided by her Christian faith, she believes that legal practice is both a calling and a position of trust, requiring integrity, diligence and empathy.

With effect from 1 October 2026, Ms. Bell joins Ms. Wong Fei Yi as a partner of Jannie Wong & Wong, leading the firm’s Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice. Her litigation and advisory experience complements Ms. Jannie’s property and conveyancing practice, strengthening the firm’s ability to support clients across transactional and contentious matters. Together, the partners are committed to providing professional, practical and client-focused legal services and safeguarding their clients’ interests.
